P.O.S. was born in Minneapolis as Stefon Alexander. A self-taught bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, and drummer, P.O.S. (which stands for a variety of things, including Product of Society, Pissed Off Stef, and Promise of Skill) spent most of his childhood influenced by the energy of punk. Most of this album is written in a moving car.

This album is undoubtly going to be on every year-end notable hip-hop list.
